Drawing on concepts from across the disciplines of psycho- and socio-analysis, neuroscience, and drawing, this research study designs and tests a creativity-based intervention, named Sozo-sei no Tenkai, to unlock the unconscious dynamics within the Swiss banking sector. Using the left and right brain, accessing the individual and collective unconscious, and revealing human dynamics and social defences within Swiss banking could potentially create a more human, effective, and resilient transitional environment for purpose-driven talent. Such professionals are shaping the sector's fast-changing future role within its own boundaries, namely Switzerland, and also in its larger context of competing within global financial services. This research study provides evidence that the intervention is suited to exploring and surfacing the psychological and systemic complexities found within the Swiss banking sector. It creates a safe space as well as confidentiality, which allow unconsciously suppressed human dynamics and unrecognised social defences to come to the surface of awareness.
