Edmund Tremaine and the Sirenspawn is based on the north east coast around Withernsea and set in a local lighthouse in 1873. Edmund is one of Philip's ancestors and this is the first in a trilogy within the Tremain series.
The Sirenspawn are ancient and huge in number. Are they guardians or prisoners or just watchers or something completely different?
Edmund is an engineer and so used to scientific way of thinking. He's also an ex-ship's captain and so well aware of sailor's tall tales and yarns.
The trouble is these creatures are real!
