Tom Quinn has written on everything from steam railways, to country houses, the royal family, fishing and country crafts. He has written several books in the Strangest series including Fishing's Strangest Tales and London's Strangest Tales. He is also the author of four highly praised biographies of domestic servants, as well as biographies of the late Queen Mother's favourite servant Backstairs Billy and of Edward VII's favourite mistress, Alice Keppel. Other royal books include the bestselling Yes Ma'am, a history of royal servants, and Kensington Palace: An Intimate History. He has written for The Times, The Telegraph and Daily Mail as well as for numerous magazines. He appears regularly on BBC TV, ITV and radio to comment on fishing, social history, London history or the royal family.
